Yuma is the hottest city, with the least rainfall, and the worst unemployment rate in the country. It exists where the Colorado meets the Gila. Where Arizona Meets California. Where Mexico meets the U.S. Where intersects become impasses.  This place was never meant to be my home — at least not for long. Yet, with over a quarter of my life now spent beyond its county lines, I continue to uncover how this small desert city influences every part of me. For six years, I returned in an attempt to tell its story to people that will only ever pass through.
